A poem a day – Haiku – Anchovies

A poem a day - Haiku - Anchovies
A poem a day – Haiku – Anchovies

Anchovies

mass bodies embalmed
layered fossils – fragile frames
bones buried in sea

Note: I love anchovies! Some consider their flavour similar to padaek. I bought this jar partly for the reusable glass jar. The anchovies taste amazing and the sunflower oil is sublime. They’re extreme pops of salty flavour when served chopped up or whole in salads.

Now buying a food for the jar is something I would do, too! And I’m certain those anchovies won’t go to waste :)

Hi thatskinnychickcanbake, Thanks for your comment. I fall for good food packaging all the time, especially when they’re reusable jars or boxes. Yes, the anchovies are truly delicious. Their saltiness means no extra salt is needed!

We’ve enjoyed anchovies before, but more so now because of this jar. They add such a wonderful taste and character to many dishes. They’re truly a delicacy. I haven’t tried white anchovies before. I just googled them and they look delicious. They’re on the list now. Thanks!
