A poem a day – Haiku – Bread

November 9, 2014 by Padaek 2 Comments

A poem a day - Haiku - Bread
A poem a day – Haiku – Bread

Bread

train stops at station
back carriages are detached
a new day awaits

Note: A good way to start the day is with some hot/warm toasts on the go! But, you know that. That’s the last of another week’s worth of haiku. Hope you enjoyed reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them. More haiku starting tomorrow – can you believe it?! Yippee! Ciao!

I like this one. I also like toast in the morning. Yesterday I had a poached egg on toast. Not so good on the go. :)

Thanks Maureen! To be honest, the initial idea for this haiku was easy, but it was difficult to finish. Since I posted/published it, I had to change the last line a couple of times because I was not happy with it. For the record, the last line is now “a new day awaits”. When I first published it, it was “refuelled for the day”, and then I changed it to “tanks are refuelled”. And now, as I write this comment, another option is “a new day begins”, but I think I’ll just stick with “a new day awaits” for now. :) I hope you still like it! I like toasts, and really should eat more of it. Poached eggs on toast sound perfect. Lol – yes, that would have been fun breakfast. Best wishes! :D
