A poem a day – Haiku – Fried chicken

A poem a day – Haiku – Fried chicken

Fried chicken

golden brown allure
satisfies primal desire
greasy paradox

Note: Notice that I’ve removed 10 mins from the title – because I’ve realised that it takes me a lot longer than 10 mins to write a haiku that I’m please with. Not saying that it can’t be done – just that I can’t achieve that feat atm. I was on a bit of a haiku roll yesterday, and jotted down ideas for several haiku. This one got refined on and off over a period of about an hour today to achieve its current form.  Fried chicken – you either love them or you don’t – admit it, you love them! Peace, and thank you for reading.

Primal desire is indeed something that fried chicken satisfies!

      Hi Jem,

Thanks for your comment. I’m glad you can appreciate this haiku on one of my favourite fast foods. Hard to beat fried chicken sometimes. :D
